Are you a K-12 public school teacher in the New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut tri-state area who had little or no training with online teaching before the COVID-19 pandemic?
Do you meet the following criteria:
- You have been a certified K-12 teacher in New York, New Jersey, or Connecticut.
- You are proficient in English.
- You had at least 1 year of experience teaching face-to-face before COVID-19 (March 2020).
- You had experienced teaching online, and little or no technology skills before the pandemic (March 2020).
- You have experienced the sudden move from teaching face-to-face to online learning because of COVID-19.
- You have experienced at least 1 trimester teaching online during the pandemic (March 2020).
If so, consider participating in a research study to investigate teachers’ lived experiences during the pandemic. Participants in this study will:
Complete an online survey for 20 minutes.
If you participate, you will be asked questions about:
- Your life history (age, gender, schooling, adverse situations, parenting).
- Your lived experiences as a learner.
- Your experiences as a teacher before (face-to-face), during and after the pandemic (online), and overall experiences with online teaching.
- Your reflections on and the meanings you attribute to your lived experiences as a learner, as a teacher before (face-to-face) and during and after the pandemic (online), and overall experiences with online teaching.
